Please have all pertinent content readily available including written material, photos, videos, pdfs, documents, links, and any other useful material. Organizing a folder on your desktop will allow you to keep track of what has and has not been uploaded.
Organize Content in Desktop Folder:
Each photo:
Png & Jpg is best. Please have all images in one of these two formats.
Name each photo with the title of your website and something descriptive [. i.e. moonrise- acrylic-paint-lynette-wiliams.jpg].
A word document:
compile all written content onto one page - Bios/About Page, Blog Posts, SEO Page descriptions, site description, and any other written material.
I suggest adding your login info for social media accounts.
If you will be transferring/connecting your domain from another site [GoDaddy, 1and1, WordPress, etc] please have the login info easily accessible.
If you are purchasing a domain, please write a list of names - as the exact one you want may be taken.
Videos must first be uploaded to SquareSpace, Vimeo, Animoto, or Wistia. Once uploaded, please add the url for each video to the word document.
If you will be using a contact and or Newsletter form please decide on the email account you want to connect it to. Please have the login info for this account easily accessible.
